EnerTec CEO Mr Benjamin Carter was awarded the Richard Joel Young Award which acknowledges the success of young people leading exporting businesses, and said it was a huge surprise given the outstanding nature of other nominees.The Richard Joel Young Award is given annually at the Export Awards which was held on Thursday 20 October 2011 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is named in honour of the late Mr Richard Joel AM, formerly the Chief Executive Office of the Brisbane Office of Economic Development, and a 2000 Centennial Medal recipient for services in promoting economic development in Brisbane. Now in the 22nd year, the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards publicly recognises the talent and innovative spirit of Queensland’s top exporters, and their important role in boosting the State and Australia’s economy.
